Novice Rally-Obedience 1

Pre-requisites: no prior experience in Rally-Obedience is required; dogs must be comfortable working in a group class environment in close proximity to other dogs

In Novice Rally-Obedience 1, Julia Khoury will teach you all about Rally-Obedience, build key foundation skills in heel work, engagement, and motivational techniques that will help you get ready to trial at the Novice level.

Novice Rally-Obedience 2
Duration: 6 weeks
Starting: Monday, November 4, 2024
Cost: $185 +HST
Time: 7:05-7:55pm
Pre-requisites: recommended completion of Novice Rally-Obedience 1; dogs must be comfortable working in a group class environment in close proximity to other dogs
Class size: 6
In Novice Rally-Obedience 2, Julia Khoury will teach you all about trialling in Rally-Obedience, highlighting Novice-level course work and building engagement for longer courses sequences to prepare you for trialing at the Novice level.

Advanced Rally-Obedience
Duration: 6 weeks

Cost: $185 +HST

Pre-requisites: Completion of the Novice Rally-Obedience class or having achieved a Rally Novice (RN) Title with the dog entering the class; dogs must be comfortable working in a group class environment and working in close proximity to other dogs
Class size: 6
In the Advanced class you will learn the Intermediate and Advanced Rally-Obedience signs. This class will also help both the dogs and their human teammates to build the confidence to work and trial off-leash (as is required in Advanced Rally-Obedience trials). Teams will also build the stamina required to complete longer courses seen in Intermediate and Advanced trials.

Meet your Instructor, Julia Khoury
Julia is one of the most compassionate pet parents I know and has a natural ability to truly see the dog in front of her. Julia is a gifted trainer with a very versatile skill set; having titles and achievements of the highest level across multiple dog sports with three of her own dogs. She adapts her teamwork to support her dogs through whatever life throws their way, and prioritizes relationship and companionship above all else.
Together, she and Lux earned their CKC Rally Championship, CKC Rally Advanced Excellent x2, CKC Rally Master, CKC Rally Master Excellent, MG7 Rally-Obedience Top Scoring Herding Dog x2, Canadian National Australian Shepherd Association National Rally Championships Top Overall scoring Aussie in Rally Obedience, and CKC Number 9 Top Scoring Dog, Nation-wide, in Rally-Obedience in 2022. She and Spiro earned their CKC Rally Advanced, and her up-and-coming youngster Miso has already earned her CKC Rally Advanced.
